Description
Professional 8W therapy laser for deep, large-area treatment
The 8W Laser Torch is our most powerful unit, designed for the professional user — veterinary practices, rehabilitation centres, and performance and racing stables. With a large 8 watts of output it treats large surfaces quickly (up to 23.8 cm² at a time) on both large and small animals, and its 808 nm near-infrared wavelength is aimed at deep soft-tissue and joint work. It can also be made to order with a dual-wavelength configuration to suit your requirements.
What it’s used for
- Pain & inflammation — drug-free support for sore, inflamed or swollen areas.
- Soft-tissue recovery — support for muscles, tendons and ligaments.
- Wound & post-surgical healing support.
- Joint comfort — support for arthritis and everyday wear.
- Warm-up & recovery for performance animals.
How laser therapy works
Therapeutic laser (photobiomodulation, also known as low-level laser therapy) delivers specific wavelengths of light into the tissue, where it is understood to support cellular energy and circulation — a drug-free way to support the body’s natural recovery. Different wavelengths reach different depths: red light (around 650 nm) works nearer the surface, while near-infrared (around 808 nm) reaches deeper into muscle and joint tissue.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a ‘cold laser’?
No — this is a high-power therapeutic laser. It is very effective but must be used with laser-safety eyewear and proper technique. For a gentle, low-level option see our 0.5W Acupuncture Pen.
Who is it for?
Professionals — vet clinics, rehab centres and performance/racing stables treating larger animals or large areas.
Can I get dual wavelengths?
Yes — the 8W can be made to order with a dual-wavelength configuration. Contact us to discuss.
How long are treatments?
Short — a high-power unit treats each area in minutes. Follow your vet/therapist’s plan.
Safety
Therapeutic lasers must be used responsibly. Always wear laser-safety eyewear and never aim the beam at the eyes. Do not treat over the eyes, over suspected tumours, over the pregnant uterus, or directly over the growth plates of young animals. Use as trained or as directed by your veterinarian or therapist. For animal use. This is a therapy device and not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, advice or treatment.
